Debapriya and Samanwaya two sparkling and celebrated names of Indian Classical Music, have proven themselves at the international music scene as a soloists as a Singer and Sitarist and a unique duo. They have been blessed with many accolades and got enriched with nuances of music from different stalwarts including none other than the Legendary Padma Vibhushan Girija Devi ji, on whom they made a National Film Award winning Documentary Film too. They have been awarded with the title “Person Who Cares for th Art of East People” by Uzbekistan Govt supported by UNESCO. They are the first ever Indian Classical Musicians who got invited by Elbphilharmonie Hamburg Germany, National Theatre for Opera and Ballet Albania, Deia International Music Festival Spain, WOMAD UK, Mananan International Music Festival in Isle of Man, Uzerche International Music Festival France and many more.
They are going to perform for virtual Hidden Kingdom World Music Festival of Bhutan spreading the beauty of the heritage of our country.
They both are A Graded Artsites of All India Radio and have got invited by Bharat Ratna Pt. Bhimsen Joshi ji as the first ever duet performance of their kind in the history of Sawai Gandharva Sangeet Mahotsav in 2010. They are presently working on many collaborative projects with Australian Composer and music producer. They also composed music for an Australian Film The Last Warrior.
Debapriya and Samanwaya both are training students of all age groups in respective fields of vocal and sitar, from around the globe through workshops, lecture demonstrations , masterclasses and one on one classes. During this present pandemic situation they have enriched many learners from different Indian cities, Australia, UK, USA, Russia, Argentina, Brazil, USA, Canada etc through online mediums.
They both have enthralled the audience of all generations around the globe and got immensely blessed by stalwarts of different genre.
