Some people in this world are only the ones who preach a lot of things, but hardly practice what they say or put in efforts towards the betterment of the society. They are ones who are strong proclaimers of the little work they do for others and even boast about it. However, some others do not need to do all these petty things, their sheer genuineness and a noble heart is what speaks volumes about them. One such altruistic man we know of is Congress Party worker and All India Media Coordinator Mr Shivanand Hulyalkar from Pune.
The entire world knows what the trying times it has been facing caused by a global pandemic named COVID-19 and because of this, many people, especially the poor, have been suffering a lot due the same. Tough situations need tough individuals with a soft heart that possesses compassion and love for all and Hulyalkar illuminates all these qualities through him. Since the time the pandemic broke in our country, this man has been working from the beginning to make a difference in all these people’s lives.
What’s commendable about this man is that this year on June 15, 2020, he did not even celebrate his birthday because he believes that this year must be lived for all those who need us the most by helping them in one way or the other. All the poor communities and slums need help, and Hulyalkar has been providing daily essential and has even provided ration for two months to such communities by saving money and by taking help from NGOs. So far, he has helped 2,500 needy people.
Not just that, he being a Congress Party worker has chosen to stand at traffic signals and distribute 10,000 masks to people on the roads, be it bike riders, boot polishers or other needy people around him. He has also been an active force in organizing blood donation camps by maintaining proper social distancing.
Hulyalkar says that he has been trying to do his best for the society as a whole, especially after looking at the dreadful circumstances the country is facing due to the pandemic. To fight coronavirus, he is putting in maximum efforts for the people in Pune and other parts of Maharashtra. Also, he is making great efforts in helping people reach their hometowns by contacting the Police Commissioner or DM and help them with a pass to travel. Hulyalkar has also made more accessible the availability of ambulances, hospital beds and other facilities. His party workers and Hulyalkar have been working together to make all this possible.
Recently, he even appealed many topmost leaders and ministers to remove the ban on maids and other daily workers working in societies, bungalows, apartments, etc. in Pune so that they do not get deprived of work and their salaries. With this, he has even appealed them to waive off electricity bills for the entire of Maharashtra. And, the Cabinet has also shown positive response in discussing the same soon.
If this is not what generosity is then what is? We definitely need more people like Hulyalkar who place the needs and requirements of others in the forefront and continuously look out for ways that can bring about a smile on people’s faces, for he only works for their betterment and happiness.
