Seema Mane… A woman with million dreams, high ambitions and passion to achieve them. In Marathi Seema means limits, boundaries but Seema Mane has always challenged her limits and achieved limitless success. Known as a hairstylist who has made her way to Bollywood and to the The VOGUE Wedding Book – 2016. But how was her journey? Let’s have a look.
Seema Mane was born in Barshi, Solapur. She had a tough childhood. She had to live in an ashram where she did her schooling till 9th standard but she couldn’t focus on her studies. She did applied courses in ashram itself. Worked in a health centre there. Later on, her marriage was fixed but her struggle was still going on. After five years of marriage she found her true passion, hair styling. Her husband made her complete her 10th and enrolled her for a yearlong hair cutting diploma course. While learning hair cutting Seema started doing hair styling and started loving it. Later she started salon work in home. After two years she started going as an assistant hairstylist for a serial but Seema left that work because she couldn’t find anything new to learn there.
That was the time her destiny brought an amazing opportunity in front of her. She was asked to work as an assistant for a fashion show. She had to skillfully style ten models at a time in a very less time. It has increased the quality of her work and she got new opportunities after this successful project.
Her husband has been very supportive in her journey. Seema found a perfect balance between her personal life, family and professional life. She soon started to rise as @hairbyseema on social media. She soon became popular in glamour world. Seema’s work was speaking for her. She got an opportunity to work for ad films, films, fashion shows, photoshoots, etc and she has grabbed each and every opportunity amazingly. She is now enjoying motherhood as well. Her colleagues appreciate her work.
She has learnt a lot by working with many film celebrities as well as other big personalities; like Madhuri Dixit, Alia Bhatt, Taapsee Pannu, Kiara Advani, Bipasha Basu, Katrina Kaif also Vibhuti from Ambani family. It has enriched her personality. She has worked with Tabu for an international web series titled ‘A Suitable Boy’; with Taapsee for The Gazi Attack, Naam Shabana, Laxmibomb, Soorma, Manmarziyaa, Judwaa 2, and with Kiara she has worked for Kalank, Good News, M. S. Dhoni, Kabir Singh. And for South Indian projects she has worked for Kajol Agrawal and Jr. N. T. R. starrer film Baadshah. Her work was now recognised internationally. She was approached for a wedding in Italy and her name was mentioned in the most prestigious magazine The VOGUE Wedding Book – 2016.
While talking about her journey and experiences Seema said – ‘I find family and work as a same process. I could work despite of all the struggle just because of my family’s support. My mother raised me to fight and conquer the problems with our honest work. In my professional life Taapsee Pannu and Kiara Advani have always supported me unconditionally. Because of their constant support I could make my mark in Bollywood. When I look back, I feel it’s been 12 years I am working and learning and I wish it keeps going on like this’.
