Andrej Rusakov, a Moscow-born soon-to-be winner of nation-wide competitions in mathematics and physics grew up in Visaginas, a 5000 people town in Lithuania, Europe.
From an early age, Andrej Rusakov was passionately taking every opportunity to get the best education one could imagine, and his strive for academic achievement made him leave the comfort of his parents’ home and move to Moscow, Russia, as a teenager, where he was admitted to the most prestigious mathematics and physics high school in the country (Advanced Educational Scientific Center of Lomonosov Moscow State University — A. N. Kolmogorov School), which he graduated with perfect record from.
This was a pivotal shift in Andrej Rusakov’s destiny as he moved from a villager’s town to one of the world’s greatest cities, Moscow. Andrej Rusakov later became a mathematician graduating top of his class with a master’s degree in theory of probabilities and statistics from Moscow State University.
However, Andrej Rusakov’s pursuit of academic excellency did not stop there and he later earned an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was also a class apart in academics.
Wanting to become a mathematician at first, life took him on a roller coaster ride when he discovered his true interest in being an entrepreneur and an investor. He is a man with multiple talents, and we must say that as a human being it is really important to reinvent yourself and know who you are. He began his career as a real estate investor and developer in Russia and Europe, then joined Morgan Stanley’s M&A Group in London, and later worked at a fifty-billion-dollar private equity fund Apax Partners, where he was focused on technology sector leveraged buyouts.
After having launched and sold multiple companies in Europe, Andrej Rusakov’s itch for building a truly global business led him to move to New York City where he started Data Capital Management, an artificial intelligence algorithmic hedge fund. Andrej Rusakov has also become a technology and a real estate investor in New York deploying capital through his family office. His passion, however, still lies in changing the world through building technology ventures.
Besides this, he is a great orator and a though leader in the fields of artificial intelligence, investing, and entrepreneurship. He delivered closing speeches at Harvard Leadership Conference in April 2017 and participated as a speaker at MIT’s Investment Forum. He has given speeches on numerous occasions on technology, big data, and investing, including a speech on Big Data Machine Learning at Revolution Conference in London in 2018. In 2017, 2018 and 2019, he was part of Artificially Intelligent Fund Conference in NYC. He was a frequent speaker at Battle of the Quants conferences around the world, including Hong Kong, Shanghai, London, New York, and Frankfurt.
Andrej is an adventurous person who loves travelling and exploring different countries. He loves to move from one place to another and he shares his travel experiences with his followers on social media. Besides travelling, he is a fitness freak whose focus is to live a healthy lifestyle. He is an avid kiteboarder, skier, snowboarder, and skydiver. He plays basketball, tennis, and squash.
Being an inspiration to many people, Andrej Rusakov has undoubtedly built his empire and is one of the most successful young businessmen globally today.
