Like every year, this year too social worker Dinesh Desai is keeping his birthday celebrations low-key. The activist who is very close to the Maldhari Samaj will have a quarantine birthday this year. In the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the motivational speaker has decided to not celebrate his birthday. Besides this, he will even miss his visit to NGO this year due to the nationwide lockdown. It is not known to many that Desai every year on his birthday spends some quality time at an NGO with kids and underprivileged people.
By staying indoors, Dinesh is abiding by all the government instructions and is avoiding the mass contact amidst the ongoing crisis. The social worker in Gujarat every year treats the people of NGO with feast and gifts, but this year, he has skipped this plan. Instead, the activist is every day distributing food to the poor people in his area and is even feeding the stray dogs in his locality. Dinesh Desai is a very reputed name among the youth who has made significant contributions and has led various movements for the betterment of his community.
On his birthday today, the influential leader is spending quality time with near and dear ones at home. His main goal for the Maldhari community is to educate and empower them. In the recent lockdown phase, Dinesh distributed meals to almost 3,500 to 4,000 people. He had even distributed ration kits, masks and sanitizers to the daily-wage workers in Ahmedabad. Desai quoted, “Birthdays are very mainstream. It is just an ordinary day like every other day. At the present moment, we all must join hands together to combat this deadly virus. With a hope of getting things normal soon, the birthday boy stated that he will pay a visit to the NGO after the government lifts the lockdown.
