The novel coronavirus pandemic is the worst thing in mankind which has already got 1.4 million confirmed cases all over the world. In India, the confirmed cases of the pandemic have crossed 5,000 and currently, the nation is in its 21 days lockdown which began on March 25, 2020. However, the epidemic has brought unity among everyone in the country. Be it celebrities, entrepreneurs or influential people, everyone has contributed their best in many initiatives. Many common people are making their contributions to PM-CARES Fund thus strengthening unity amongst all Indians. Dinesh Desai, a social worker in Gujarat has also come to the rescue of the underprivileged people.

Desai who is a philanthropist as well as a motivational speaker recently donated 250 kits to the poor people in Ahmedabad. The kit contains ration and all the essential commodities including rice, dal, refined oil, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, wheat and pulses. The social activist has ensured to provide kits which would last for an entire month. Besides this, Dinesh has also taken up the charge of feeding almost 3,500 to 4,000 people with meals. It is being practised since the last 13 days since the nation went into lockdown. This is a great initiative by Dinesh Desai to help all the poor and needy people.

He said, “The lockdown has impacted people, their businesses and the Indian economy. But if we see, the underprivileged people and the daily wage workers would have suffered from having no work and place to live. As a human for humanity, it is my prime responsibility to help every person not just in my locality but any part of the country. Let the unity be strong and I am sure we will overcome COVID-19 and emerge as winners.” Apart from this, on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, Dinesh Desai even performed a havan at a temple in Ahmedabad to eliminate the negativity of the pandemic from the country.
