Young author Bhuban Patra has once again shown his literary prowess with his latest book “Narasingha: The Legend of Padma Purusha” published by Leadstart, captivating readers with a tale that transports readers back in time.

Set against the backdrop of the golden period of Kalinga (present-day Odisha) in the early 13th century, the book delves into the life of Narasingha Deva, the king responsible for the construction of the grand sun temple in Mundira. The narrative unfolds King Narasingha Dev’s journey from an inquisitive prince to one of Bharat’s most powerful monarchs and covers the many battles between Kalinga and the Bengal kings and why King Narasingha was known as the greatest builder of Bharat.

The book takes readers on an enthralling journey to discover the mysteries surrounding the construction of the sun temple at Munidra, now known as Konark. Was the temple just a grand monument, or did its construction conceal any secrets? Why did King Narasingha employ an unusual technique for its construction? Revealing the answers to these questions, the book also sheds light on the birth secret of Bishnu Maharana, the chief architect of Konark temple, and the identity of Silpy.

“Narasingha: The Legend of Padma Purusha” is Bhuban Patra’s third book. His first book “Where is Ekamra” tells the tales of his journey through the old quarters of the famous Shaivite city of Ekamra now known as Bhubaneswar. His second book “Lotus Land: The Secrets of Padma Kshetra” was published in 2020. It was the first book of the Konark secret duology, and covered the tale of Bishnu Maharana.
