Bangalore based fashion and beauty blogger Rinku Chatlani always had an affinity towards fashion and makeup. She was noticed on Instagram, at work and amongst her friends for her fashion sense and would always be the go-to person for fashion advice. That’s when she decided to make a full time career in this line.
The journey of course hasn’t been easy for Rinku. She expresses how everyone outside the industry feel that as a blogger she lives the perfect life, while that’s actually not true. “It requires a lot of planning, ideation and hard work to create the content that we put out” she adds.
Rinku worked for one of the largest investment banking firms for about 2 years before she decided to follow her passion. “Leaving behind a stable job was financially very challenging especially during the first year” she says. It was also difficult to convince her parents to trust her decision on doing blogging full time. She also studied digital marketing which helped her gain deeper knowledge of the digital world and social media.
She started her blog and Instagram career back in 2016 and tirelessly put out content. Since then there’s been no looking back for Rinku. Her thumb rule of success is to think from her audience’ perspective and drive inspiration from little things around her. Whether it’s the outfits she’s putting out or makeup tutorials, she tries to cater to the majority.
She finds herself lucky to have gotten many opportunities through her journey as a blogger. Walking the ramp for Prasad Bidappa, being featured on TV, talking at panel discussions, judging fashion shows, hosting styling sessions are few that she names.
Within a span of 3 years, Rinku carved a niche for herself in the Fashion and beauty industry. She is known for her street style, effortless and minimal style that most people in this day can relate to. Her personal style at times also has a 90’s vibe which is a favourite amongst the youth.
Today, she’s a well known name in the industry with her strong sense of fashion. She has inspired and continues to inspire many girls out there in the Fashion, Beauty, Lifestyle and Travel space.
