An evening was hosted by Food Corporation of India In association with Marketing Partner Sports Oodles Pvt Ltd to announce the trophy for All India Public Sector Sports Promotion Board (AIPSSPB) – AIPS Cricket League.
The glittering trophy for the tournament was unveiled at the Press Briefing by Shri R.P. Sharma, President ZSPC (North)/Executive Director (FCI) in the presence of Shri O.P. Dani, Treasurer (AIPSSPB)/Chief Genl. Manager (FCI), Shri Sanjeev Gautam, Joint Secrtary (FCI-SPB)/General Manager, Shri Rajat Sharma, Secretary (HQSPC)/General Manager (FCI), Shri Arif Khan, MD-Sports Oodles Pvt. Ltd. & Shri Ramesh Sachdeva, Consultant (AIPSSPB) in the presence of National/International cricketers Mr. Amit Mishra, Mr. Parveen Kumar, Mr. Navdeep Saini, Mr. Deepak Hooda, Mr. Paras Dogra and Mr. Nitish Rana.
On the occasion Mr. Arif Khan CEO Sports Oodles Pvt Ltd & Marketing Partner AIPS League also made an announcement that bids will be taken out for auction of media rights, fantasy league rights, digital rights and sponsorship. The auction will be conducted on the 26th of September 2019.

All India Public Sector Sports Promotion Board (AIPSSPB) was established in the year 1987 and is the apex body for conducting sports activities amongst Public Sector Undertakings, besides helping the sports persons to perform at National & International level by providing them required technical and financial assistance from member PSUs.
The Board is headed by Shri Shashi Shanker, CMD – ONGC & ONGC Group of Companies. The Board has recently introduced a talent search scheme wherein budding sportspersons would be identified through a search committee & Board will then facilitate their adoption / sponsorship by some of the member PSUs to make them perform at the highest level. Leading Public Sector Undertakings like ONGC, Oil India, Food Corporation of India, Life Insurance Corporation of India, BSNL, Air India, Airports Authority of India, SAIL, Reserve Bank of India etc. who actively promote sports, are members of the AIPSSPB. Currently 27 organizations are active members of the Board.
AIPSSPB organizes tournaments in various games disciplines such as Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Carrom, Chess, Cricket, Football, Golf, Hockey, Kabaddi, Table Tennis and Volleyball at different venues across the country. These tournaments are organized every year on the basis of calendar finalized in the Annual General Meeting. To encourage participation of larger segment of players, the tournaments are meticulously planned so that their dates do not clash with major national/international events thusensuring the competitiveness . This year’s Public Sector Cricket tournamentis being organized by Food Corporation of India under the aegis of All India Public Sector Sports Promotion Board with an attractive prize money on offer (Rs 4 Lakhs for the winner, Rs 2 lakhs for the runner up and Rs.50000/- each for the semi finalists).
The matches will be played on league-cum-knock out basis at four different grounds at Pune. There will be live streaming of quarter final, semi-final and final matches.
AIPS Cricket Tournament attracts participation of leading players of the country and in the past Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma,, Ishant Sharma, Ajay Jadeja, Rajesh Chauhan, Narender Hirwani, Praveen Kumar, Munaf Patel, Waseem Zafar, Rishi Dhawan& many more have represented their employer Public Sector company. Further, the upcoming cricketers who are associated with the member PSUs by way of employment/ scholarship / contract get the much needed experience while playing with National & International players and get a platform to showcase their prowess.
