The Stage-II Sports Talent Identification process for admissions to Delhi Sports School was successfully conducted by the Delhi Sports University (DSU) in collaboration with its knowledge partner SixS Sports. The assessment camps were organized on June 15 and 16, 2026, at various prestigious venues across Delhi.
The objective of the Stage-II assessment was to systematically identify and evaluate emerging sporting talent at the grassroots level. A total of 210 students had been shortlisted for this stage, of whom approximately 87 percent participated and showcased their sporting abilities. Attendance stood at 122 participants on the first day and 59 on the second day, reflecting the enthusiasm and dedication of the young athletes.
The evaluation process included modern sports science assessments and sport-specific trials, conducted across three key venues:
- Delhi Sports School, Ludlow Castle: Assessments were conducted for Boxing, Shooting, Swimming, Wrestling, Table Tennis, Weightlifting, and Archery (Sports Science Tests only).
- Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya, Ashok Vihar: Specialized Archery trials were conducted at this venue.
- Thyagaraj Sports Complex: Sports Science Tests and trials were organized for Lawn Tennis, Badminton, and Athletics.
The entire program was successfully executed under the supervision of DSU officials, experienced coaches, and the technical team from SixS Sports. Comprehensive arrangements, including athlete support services, refreshments, and smooth event management, were ensured throughout the assessment process.
DSU also expressed its gratitude to parents for their continued support and encouragement, which motivated students to participate enthusiastically. The positive feedback received from both participants and parents highlights a growing commitment toward fostering a strong sporting culture in the country.
The results of the Stage-II assessment will be announced shortly. Selected students will be informed about the final admission process in due course.
