Actor, Singer, and MP Manoj Tiwari to Play the Role of Lord Parshuram in world-famous Lav Kush Ramleela

In a press conference organized by the world-famous Lav Kush Ramleela Committee at Red Fort Ground, the committee’s president Arjun Kumar informed the media that this year, the committee has featured images showcasing the valor and bravery of the Army, Navy, and Air Force on the invitation cards. The aim is to attract Generation X more towards Lord Rama’s divine story and inspire them to fulfill their responsibilities towards the nation.

Arjun Kumar further stated that the renowned actor, singer, and Member of Parliament Manoj Tiwari will be portraying the role of Lord Parshuram this year in the Ramleela. Earlier, he has also played roles like Kevat and Angad. A documentary film based on the Ramayana, created using AI technology, will be screened for devotees daily before the staging of the play.

On the occasion of the birthday of the country’s popular Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, a mega health camp, a large community feast, distribution of school bags and stationery to special children, and sarees to women will be organized. With the support of the Government of India and the Delhi Government, motorized tricycles and wheelchairs will be distributed to persons with disabilities. In collaboration with Tara Netralaya, free eye checkups, cataract surgeries, and distribution of spectacles will be provided. With the support of ALPS, free hearing aids will be distributed. A blood donation camp and community feast will also be conducted throughout the day.

MP, actor, and singer Manoj Tiwari said that it is a matter of great pride for him to play the role of Lord Parshuram in front of thousands of Rama devotees at the historic Red Fort ground. He shared that he has been connected with Ramleela since childhood, and when Arjun Kumar and Subhash Goel invited him to perform a role in the play, he gladly accepted the invitation. He further stated that everyone should get involved with Ramleela in some way to promote the teachings of Lord Rama and the Indian culture, so that the younger generation can learn from it and follow it.

According to the committee’s general secretary Subhash Goel, the Ramleela will begin with a Ganesh Puja on the first day. The performance will feature scenes where Sage Valmiki narrates the Ramayana and presents the life story of Lord Rama to Lav and Kush, along with scenes from the biography of Tulsidas. This year, too, many renowned artists from Bollywood and television will portray key characters. These include Kinsuk Baid as Rama, Dr. Rajan Sharma as Lakshman, Rini Arya as Sita, Malhar Pandya as Hanuman, Arya Babbar as Ravana, Rajesh Puri as King Janak’s minister, Shankar Sahni as Kevat, Dr. Ashok Sharma as Sushen Vaidya, and others.

The committee’s chairman Pawan Gupta and senior vice president Satyabhushan Jain announced that the Ramleela will commence on 22 September and conclude with Bharat Milap on 3 October 2025. The festival of Dussehra will be celebrated with grandeur on 2 October across the world.

According to senior vice president Akhil Singhal, a special program of devotional songs dedicated to Baba Khatu Shyam will be performed by the renowned singer and Khatu Shyam devotee Kanhaiya Mittal and his group.
