Youth icons Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, lovingly called DeepVeer by their fans, have come forward to support the citizens in need due to the coronavirus pandemic in India. The much-loved couple announced their decision on their social media platforms without disclosing the amount of donation.

“In times like these, every bit counts. We humbly pledge to contribute to the PM-CARES FUND, and hope that you will too. We’re all in this together, and we shall overcome. Jai Hind,” wrote Deepika and Ranveer.

The celebrity couple are among some of the biggest names who have lent their hands to protect the people in dire need and help India fight the COVID-19 onslaught.
