Sublimation Part II

Sublimation is an exposition by twenty upcoming artists displaying varied dynamics of their visual articulation reflecting varied hues capturing the diversity of their personal experiences, dreams, desires and interests. These artists from diverse socio-cultural backgrounds and regions, each with their own experiences, concerns and oeuvres have come together with their variable creations in a multitude of styles, techniques, sizes, forms and aesthetics in a range of hues and manifestations to showcase a plurality of thoughts through their arts.

As a formative and fervent educator, artist Dilip Sharma fondly shares that he has organized more than thirty exhibitions of his student artists and in future also he promises to bring forth fresh and skillful talents. The idea of this exhibition is to provide a platform for these artists to share their messages through their visual idioms and to make an effort to bring the best of art to the public. The comprehensive exhibition consisting of 20 artists span a wide range of visual languages from the descriptive narrative to the emphasis on a solitary object, which appears to be a questioning of the inherited discourse at various levels. Such a wide range of representational approaches at play in the works of these artists reflect on how well they have contemplated with their imaginations.

We hope that the exhibition, it’s intention and methodology, and the program around it will serve as an event through which the journey of this towering figure of Indian art will be preserved.
