And when that solitude is permeated with the company of friends, family, literary stalwarts, accolades, and recognition, the journey seems worthwhile.
Such was the scene at the 4th International Leadership Summit- Literature Edit, by Aesthetics International at Meerut, on 14th and 15th May 2022 when HR-turned-Author Jyoti Jha received the prestigious ‘Global Progressive Women Award 2022’. A global platform for traditional and self-published authors in terms of branding, book launches, book endorsements by global celebrities, panel discussions, personalized networking, and global awards, the two-day event was marked by the presence of authors from across the country.
The award was conferred to the author for her remarkable journey from being a proud winner of The Times of India Write India Season 3 to becoming a passionate blogger, and then embarking on the felicitous expedition of being an author of three books that have been making rounds in both prominent media houses and readers equally.
Awarded ‘Savitribai Phule Rashtriya Samman’ and ‘Iconic Authors 2022’, Jyoti has been awarded as ‘Author of the year’ and ‘Best Reviewer of the year 2020 and 2021’. She has been nominated for Auther Awards by The Times of India under the Popular Choice category for her book ‘The Realms of Human Emotions’. President of Savitribai Phule Shaikshanik Seva Foundation, Jyoti is a Globe-trotter, Storyteller, Columnist, and a Lyricist. A proud panelist and Guest Speaker in Talk Shows at IIM Lucknow and IITs, she has been an honorable Judge at Kashiyatra, IIT BHU, and has been a speaker at the coveted Ahmedabad International Literature Festival (AILF 2022). Jyoti has been a guest speaker and a co-host at a unique talk show ‘The Lit Talks’, on a reputable OTT Platform.
Jyoti has ingrained the essence of women empowerment, the significance of self-reliance and education right from her early days and which is depicted in her novel ‘Aanandi’ which narrates an emotional journey of a girl of extraordinary intellect, born in a small village in India, portraying the courage to stand against the evils of society, fighting through the adversities that life throws at her, and through awareness for education, self-reliance, and determination, live life at her own terms and ahead of her time. Pre-Launched at the prestigious IIT Jammu, having been featured at the coveted Pune International Literary Festival (PILF 2021), the book has been launched at the prestigious Bihar Hindi Sahitya Sammelan. The book has been widely appreciated by the readers and has been in the limelight in some major media houses in the country. The book has been picked up for Audiobook creation by a renowned Pune-based studio. The book was launched at the International Leadership Summit amidst the august company of literary doyens and industry experts.
Among the literary contributions at display and for readers’ pick, Jyoti’s books, ‘Around The World Through My Lens’ and ‘Aanandi’ were also set out at the event. A participative member of a Panel Discussion on ‘Challenges and Opportunities for Self-Publishing’ moderated by the renowned author and editor, Satadal Lahiri, author Jyoti Jha shared her insight and writing and publishing experience with the audience and the panel that comprised of esteemed authors Neeraj Rai, Sucheta S, and Dr. Lavanya.
Also, present at the event were acclaimed authors and speakers Vikram Khaitan, Kanwar Jeet Singh, Mona Verma, Sujata Parashar, Harshali Singh, S D Kar, Himanshu Rai, Kenashree, Capt. M S Chadha, Patricia D’Souza, Romita Khurana Sahni, and Darshan Desale to name a few; who received global awards and participated in various sessions, book launches, and panel discussions. Nitish Raj, Co-Founder of Literia Insight and Editor-in-Chief, The Literary Mirror, attended the event and was bestowed ‘Global Leadership Excellence Award 2022’.
The event saw the cheery presence of eminent delegates and special guests from various fields. Along with some of them, Jyoti was a proud participant in two Book Launches, ‘Hindu Culture & Lifestyle’ by Vaishali Shah, and ‘Escape From Pakistan’ by Debora Ann Shea.
The two-day event was organized at a state-of-the-art facility in the sports city with ancient connections, the city of Meerut, and saw a structured array of networking activities over delectable tea, lunch, and snacks.
