The inaugural edition of Feronia Fashion Night is to be held in Jaipur on December 1, 2018 at Radisson Bluand is poised to be a path breaking moment in the history of fight for LGBTQ rights in Rajasthan. The theme of the show is Androgynous fashion which aims to avoid gender stereotype ingrained in the society.
The purpose of the event is to raise awareness regarding the inclusivity of LGBTQ community into the mainstream society. All the models participating in the fashion show belong from the LGBTQ community and will help us in making a statement of equal participation of the community in education, job opportunities and administration.
The designers who are on board are Mr Hoshigoru William (From Singapore), Mr Padma Raj Keshri (From Gujarat) and Mr Anurag Gupta (From New Delhi).
Ms. Gauri Sawant – The brand ambassador of “Vicks We care Campaign” and Mr. Paresh Gupta- The youth brand ambassador of the Rajasthan State Government are the Guests of Honour.
The event is a non-commercial endeavour which is being conducted to support a social cause – the upliftment of the LGBTQ community. The underlined message of the event is the need of the hour as the LGBTQ community of India continues their fight for basic human and constitutional rights such as respect, equality and liberty.
